Foam concrete is a multipurpose concrete that can be used for heat preservation, sound insulation, fire prevention and earthquake resistance.
Foam concrete is a kind of porous material made by mixing foam agent aqueous solution into foam, adding foam into mortar, mixing, forming concrete with uniform bubbles, and then pouring, molding and curing.
Because foam concrete contains a large number of closed pores, it has the physical and mechanical properties of light weight, thermal insulation, sound insulation and fire resistance, seismic buffering, and good fluidity, which effectively prevent the explosive space formed when filling the pipeline. The foam concrete itself is alkaline and passivates with metal, forming a film on the contact surface of the two materials to prevent further chemical reaction, so as to protect the old metal pipeline from corrosion and collapse.
Because of its various physical properties, foam concrete has been developed and applied to composite wallboard, insulation and sound insulation wall filling, firewall insulation filling, pipeline backfilling, and plastic runway. However, there have been successful cases of tunnel shares in the application of foam concrete.
