Foam concrete, also known as foamed cement or lightweight foam concrete, is a new type of lightweight insulation material that contains a large number of closed pores. It is formed by mechanically foaming the foaming agent through the foaming system of the foaming machine, uniformly mixing the foam with the cement slurry, and then pouring it in situ or molding it through the pumping system of the foaming machine. It belongs to bubble shaped thermal insulation material and is characterized by forming closed foam holes in the concrete to make the concrete lightweight and heat insulation. 
1、 Characteristics
1) Lightweight: The dry bulk density is 300-1600KG/M3, equivalent to about 1/5 to 1/8 of ordinary cement concrete, which can reduce the overall load of buildings.
2) Integrity: Can be poured on-site for construction, tightly integrated with the main body, without leaving any gaps or breathable pipes.
3) Low elasticity and shock absorption: The porous nature of bubble mixed lightweight soil gives it a low elastic modulus, which enables it to have good absorption and dispersion of impact loads.
4) Compressive strength: The compressive strength is 0.6-30.0MPa.
5) Water resistance: The lightweight soil mixed with cast-in-place bubbles has low water absorption, relatively independent closed bubbles, and good overall integrity, making it have certain waterproof performance.
6) Durability: Same as the service life of the main project.
7) Fast construction speed: With the use of simple machines, automated operations can be achieved, and long-distance transportation of 300 meters can be achieved, with a workload of 150-300M3 per working day.
8) Environmental friendliness: The raw materials required for bubble mixed lightweight soil are cement and foaming agent. The foaming agent is neutral and does not contain harmful substances such as benzene and formaldehyde, avoiding environmental pollution and fire hazards.
9) Economy: Low overall cost.
2. The application on highways reduces load or soil pressure.
1) The replacement of the roadbed behind the new highway bridge abutment effectively solves the engineering settlement problem left by insufficient preloading in soft foundation sections.
2) The replacement of the roadbed behind the bridge abutment in the renovation of old roads can completely solve the problem of bridge head jumping caused by post construction settlement in one go.
3) The widening and filling of roadbeds in road expansion can better solve the problem of differential deformation between old and new roadbeds, and can save land acquisition and avoid demolition.
4) The roadbed filling in steep mountainous sections avoids the construction technical difficulties caused by high filling and high excavation.
5) Used for soil cover load reduction in underground large-span structural engineering.
3. Self leveling characteristics
1) Filling of narrow spaces and small areas.
2) The voids formed by the collapse of goaf, lava area, building foundation pit, tunnel, and surrounding gaps of underground pipelines.
